The problem with car parking in the central part of the city is constantly open for different solutions. It is most serious during the tourist season, when hundreds of cars are being parked as close as a foot from the beach, creating difficulties for residents and visitors. It’s been working on solutions in this direction that is convenient both for tourists and citizens. A step towards solving the problem is building a daily outdoor parking along „Knyaz Boris I“.
The parking lot is near the Sea Park, Varna Zoo and the Palace of culture and sports. The current project is about the formation of two parking areas between the lanes of the boulevard. One of them is for 151 cars, and the other one – for 7 buses. The project includes renovation of the subway-approach to existing underpasses to the Sea Park – building of stairs and construction of an elevator for people with disabilities, and the availability of automatic parking system with information about the number of vacancies.
Social objective of the project is to partially solve the problem of the city, to restrict the access of cars in the Sea Park and also improve urban mobility and easy access to buses to important locations in the city. Overall project implementation will also open 9 new jobs.
