The parking lot is situated in the lower part of the Sea Garden, next to the railway station and the docks of Varna, along the blvd. „Primorski“ next to the intersection of „Preslav“ str. with „Chernorizets Hrabur“ str., it is a 10-15 minutes walk from the town’s center. The location of the parking lot is also very close to many administrative buildings, museums and toursist attractions, for example the Roman Baths.
The project is about the expansion of the already existing municipal parking lot up to 84 parking spaces by building additional 50 parking spaces for cars and 6 parking spaces for buses. The parking lot will work 24/7. Also 500 m. of underground water supply infrastructure along the blvd. „Primorski“ will be rehabilitated. In addition 8 Noemvri str., which connects the new parking lot with the Roman Baths, becomes part of the main pedestrian area and part of the pedestrian area that leads to the tourist attractions of Varna. Moreover as part of the project the pavement of 8 Noemvri str., the sidewalks and the street lights will be renovated also a bicycle lane will be built.
The project aims to improve urban mobility in Varna, as well as providing an access to tourist buses going to the center of the city. The new park, the expansion of the pedestrian zone and its cultivation will help increase the number of tourists visiting museums and other attractions, as well as visitors of the city, which began its tourist walking tour of the Roman Baths.
With the completion of the project there will be opened 4 +1 new jobs.
