The second project approved to Arena Cinema for funding under the JESSICA program includes the construction of a new IMAX movie theater in Grand Mall Varna, as well as renovation of two movie theaters in Mall Varna.
The new hall, which will meet the standards of IMAX will be the first of its kind outside the capital. The hall will be built on an area of 900 sq.m. and will have 496 seats, including 8 seats for disabled people. The budget for the construction and equipment of the hall is for the amount of BGN 2.192 million.
The project also includes two cinema halls, located in Mall Varna to be completely renovated, so that they will provide the audience more luxurious interior with high quality picture and sound. The budget for the renovation amounted to BGN 1.652 million.
Approved funding for the whole project totally amounting to TEUR 1 533, shared between Societe Generale Expressbank (TEUR 1 073) and the Regional Urban Development Fund (TBGN 899).
